2018 annual memorial to the Unborn Victims of Abortion prayer service to remember the babies lost to abortion and to prayer for a renewed respect for human life in the United States was on Sunday, January 21st at 2:00 pm, in remembrance of the 45th anniversary of Roe versus Wade decision which legalized abortion on January 22, 1973. The Brookville Police led motorcade, with Brother Dan Rosenberger in the Cook Rosenberger Funeral Hertz, departed from St. Michael Church and headed to St. Michael cemetery for a prayer service. RTL Leader and  Council#1010 Culture of Life Chairman Brother Jerry Mersch explained how the motorcade is done as a funeral motorcade for the lost babies. Brother Jerry Mersch spoke and led prayers for 150 people with 12 Knights. Along with additional prayers, there were 4 scripture readings,  by Brother Matt Keck, Father Howard Remski from St. Philomena & Cecilia and Pastor Jim Webster from Oak Forest Church of Christ.  All songs were lead by the St. Philomena & Cecilia Choir. The local churches included St. Michael, Holy Guardian Angel, Saint Peters,  Oak Forest Church of Christ, St. Thomas Lutheran, Valley Christian, First Baptist Church, Metamora Church Of Christ, Red Life, St. Louis,  All Saints Campus, Brookville Church of Christ, Brookville United Methodist. and the Public. Mostly in attendance is Brother Knight’s Families,  Families from St. Michael, Saint Philomena & Cecilia and Families from Pastor Jim Webster's Oak Forest Church.  Also, 4 – 4th Degree Honor Guards Sirs Joe Jonas, Bob Jonas, Carroll Lanning, & Roger Reuss stood guard as the children placed  24 Roses at the K of C Council#1010 Memorial tombstone at St. Michael cemetery.
